Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones movie costumes from The Theory of Everything on display...

The Theory of Everything is inspired by the true story of Stephen Hawking's life and based on the memoir by his first wife Jane Hawking, Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen. Eddie Redmayne plays the renowned astrophysicist who falls deeply in love with his fellow Cambridge student, 'Jane Wilde', played by Felicity Jones.

The film chronicles the struggles and achievements of the couple when at 21-years-old the brilliant genius was diagnosed with a progressive motor neuron disease related to ALS, which has left him almost entirely paralysed and only able to communicate through a special speech-generating device.

These original costumes worn by the actors in the compelling drama were photographed on display at ArcLight Hollywood cinema on October 25, 2014.

Alos included in the display were the Hawking wedding costumes from when they were married in July 1965.

For more wedding gowns from the big screen and small screen, take a look at the wedding dress from 1991's Father of the Bride, Snow White's wedding dress from TV's Once Upon a Time, Mia Wasikowska's Jane Eyre period wedding gown and for something totally different, even Miss Piggy's Vivienne Westwood designed wedding gown from Muppets Most Wanted.

After seeing these screen-used costumes and the trailer I'm certainly looking forward to watching the enlightening movie at the cinema when it opens in the U.S. at the beginning of November.

Witch costume and Samurai helmet from 47 Ronin on display...

2013's 47 Ronin was inspired by the real-life tale of a group of masterless samurai who avenged the death of their lord in 18th century Japan. Many movies have been made inspired by this legend, but this box office flop stars Keanu Reeves as the adopted 'Kai' who is taken in by the benevolent 'Lord Asano' and joins with a band of samurai to avenge the death and dishonour of the master at the ruthless 'Lord Kira'.

In the film, 'Witch' is a Japanese sorceress with different colour eyes played by Rinko Kikuchi, who serves the scheming Lord Kira. You can't really see from the front of this flowing green silk dress, but it's a backless kimono to show off the character's back tattoo.

For other witch costume designs to inspire you for Halloween, be sure to also check out these cool witch costumes from Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Hocus Pocus witch movie costumes and the Wicked Witch costume worn by Mila Kunis in Disney's Oz The Great and Powerful.

Penny Rose was Costume Designer on this Japanese historical epic directed by Carl Rinsch, and you can also see her costume work in Disney's The Lone Ranger, the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise and the Prince of Persia movie adaptation, to name but a few projects.

In the movie Keanu Reeves wears this helmet from the feudal Japan period and it's a shame that the rest of the Samurai armour wasn't on display too (but maybe it will be in the future).

These original pieces from 47 Ronin were photographed on display at Universal Studios Hollywood's ever-changing NBC Universal Experience archive exhibit on October 9, 2014.

Be sure to stay tuned in the days to come for more fantastic costumes and props from my latest visit to this movie and TV treasure trove.

Tim Roth's Febre the Man in Black costume from The Musketeer on display...

Nothing says villain in a movie like a black costume, so enjoy this 17th century French swordsman outfit worn by Tim Roth in the 2001 movie, The Musketeer. Inspired by Alexandre Dumas' classic novel The Three Musketeers, this big screen adaptation sees 'Cardinal Richlieu's' eye-patch wearing henchman, 'Febre, the Man in Black', murder 'd'Artagnan's' parents when he is a young boy. Ultimately our grown up hero finally gets his revenge and kills the dastardly villain by film's end.
