Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Michael Madsen costumes from The Hateful Eight...

After bemoaning the fact that I couldn't take the best photographs of The Hateful Eight costume exhibit at ArcLight Hollywood cinema because of the reflection in the windows, I got another opportunity to see three of the movie costumes on display at the ArcLight Sherman Oaks venue on January 11, 2016.

These costumes were designed by Courtney Hoffman and worn by Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Michael Madsen in Quentin Tarantino's latest Western mystery film set in a wintery post-Civil War Wyoming.

In the movie, Kurt Russell is a bounty hunter called 'John Ruth' transporting his captive killer, Jennifer Jason Leigh's 'Daisy Domergue', to the town of Red Rock. Chained together, they take shelter at Minnie's Haberdashery, a stagecoach lodge, when a blizzard hinders their journey.

Even though I got a better look at these costumes, they are still quite dark, brown ensembles which makes for harder photography conditions.

The stagecoach stopover is filled with other bounty hunters, travelers and mysterious characters, including Michael Madsen's loner cowboy, 'Joe Gage'.

I like how this costume worn by Michael Madsen was staged with the table and props (and lodge scenery backdrop), and it was nice to get a better look at his cowboy boots in this display.

If you like these Western-inspired outfits, be sure to also check out even more film costumes from The Hateful Eight on display at ArcLight Hollywood.

Plus stay tuned for more American Frontier costumes from The Revenant in the coming days.
